Michelle here. Yes, I wrote Bombyx Biographies: Book 1, and it’s pronounced bom-bix. Tu Grates. I'm the author behind the sword-swinging, spell-slinging chaos that is Alaĕna Bombyx’s life—a story full of magical creatures, ancient languages, dark secrets, and just the right amount of sarcasm to get a teenager grounded for life—if she had parents who cared, that is.

Let’s get the basics out of the way: I write YA fantasy that bites back. My stories feature characters who are clever, flawed, occasionally angry—okay, often angry—and always walking the thin line between saving the day and accidentally burning it all down. I love a good swordfight, witty puns, and characters who handle high-stakes drama with a healthy dose of snark.

But I’m not just here to tell stories about Latin Magicians and mysterious organizations with ominous acronyms (hi, D-A-M-L). I’m here because I believe the best kind of magic isn’t in the spells—it’s in the voice, the grit, the moments between explosions when a character says exactly what you're thinking but would never dare say out loud.
